When milk is received from the dairy it consists of 88% water and 12% milk solids (butterfat, protein, calcium, etc.) During the evaporating process the water is evaporated off the milk to bring the solids up to 45% before being transferred to the dryer.

Once the condensed product reaches the dryer it is sprayed into our heat chamber which is 300° F. In a matter of seconds, this milk mist is dried and becomes powdered milk.

The dry powder product is then packaged in 25 kg bags in an airtight area by automatic filling equipment.

Finally, the finished powdered milk, in 55-pound bags or 2,000-pound tubs, is ready for shipment to our customers around the world.
